Trip to Salinas Historical Sites 8/28/16 by Ronald Horii
On 8/28/16, I went with fellow members of the Friends of Santa Teresa Park to 2 historical sites in Salinas: the Boronda Adobe and the Santa Rita Chapel and Cemetery. There was a celebration and barbecue lunch at the Boronda Adobe. We were there as guests of Barbara Brown, who heads the Monterey County Historical Society. She is a descendant of the Berryessa Family, which started in the San Jose area. http://mchsmuseum.com/salinas/
