"Legend of New Almaden" Mural at Los Gatos High School by Ronald Horii
I heard about a famous mural at Los Gatos High School called "The Legend of New Almaden." It was painted by artist Clay Spohn in 1940 as a New Deal WPA project. It's hanging on the wall in Los Gatos High School. I was in that area during a school day, so I dropped in to see it. What's interesting is that it actually depicts the Legend of Santa Teresa, which connected to Santa Teresa Spring in Santa Teresa County Park. Here's an article about it.

Here are pictures of the mural. Unfortunately, it's protected by a plastic cover which reflects the hallway lights, so I had to take pictures from several angles to see behind the reflections.
