Hike at Uvas Creek Preserve (Melchor Ranch) 5/25/16 by Ronald Horii
On 5/25/16, Lauren of the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority led a hike at Uvas Creek Open Space Preserve. The 285-acre preserve, originally called the Melchor Ranch, was purchased by the OSA in 2014. The preserve doesn't have trails, but it has a network of ranch roads, most of which are wide, with a firm gravel surface. There are 6 spring-fed ponds in the preserve, which are reachable by the ranch roads. We saw 4 of them today.
