Santa Teresa Park After the Rains: Waterfalls and Wet Trails 1/24 by Ronald Horii
After a couple of dry years, it was good to see lots of rain in January. It wasn't a huge amount of rain, but I was hoping it was enough to get the waterfalls in the park flowing again. Santa Teresa Park has 2 waterfalls, both along the same creek that drops down through Laurel Canyon. The upper waterfall is visible only from a distance and from only one stretch of the Hidden Springs Trail. It's only visible during or immediately after a rainstorm. The lower falls is at the end of the Laurel Canyon Nature Trail and can be seen close up. I went to see both falls today and also noted the trail conditions.
