Cooley Landing King Tides Walk by Acterra by Ronald Horii
I went to this event on Saturday 1/23/16: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/king-tides-walk-rain-or-shine-tickets-19921257016?aff=eandprexshre&ref=eandprexshre
Here's the description: "As part of the California King Tides Initiative and Acterra welcome members of the public to observe and document the highest seasonal tides, or “king tides,” while learning about shoreline and marshland ecology.
The event will begin with an educational talk at Cooley Landing with a docent from Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. After, attendees will walk along the Bay Trail to photograph the high tides and the impact of rising waters on wildlife habitat in the baylands. Participants can then share those images through social media and contribute to a living record of the changes to California’s shorelines-- providing a glimpse of what our daily tides may look like in the future as a result of sea level rise." There was a 9-foot King Tide at 11:29 am. The event started at 10 am and ended at 12 pm.
