Following the Water: From Vasona to Los Gatos Creek Park by Ronald Horii
1/21/16: I rode my bike on the Los Gatos Creek Trail around Los Gatos Creek Park to Vasona Lake. Last year and especially in 2014, Vasona was low, Los Gatos Creek was dry in places, and the percolation ponds and channels in Los Gatos Creek Park were dry or very low. Now, water is returning. These pictures follow the water, from Vasona Lake to Los Gatos Creek Park. They are not necessarily in chronological order. For comparison, some pictures from 9/20/14 show how the park looked when the ponds were dry or very low. I'm not an expert on the hydrology of the water system, so the descriptions of the water flows are based on observation.
