Today was a mostly blah day, partially overcast. Late in the day, it looked like we might have a nice sunset, so I hurried over to Hellyer Park to take these pictures.
Usually, I would take these with my SLR, but I only had my compact. Fortunately, I had my tripod, so I used my compact and manually varied the shutter speed to get the different exposures. I used Photomatix to combine them into HDR pictures. This was an experiment to see if I could do HDR pictures with a compact camera. They came out OK, though not as good as with my SLR.
