Sardinia bike ride to Golfo Aranci by Stefano Giovannini
Golfo Aranci blends the old fishing port with tourism. The bay is protected from most sides. The sea is so clear even in the port, where I saw some one spearfishing just outside the jetty. Riding a bicycle was great, some long hills some a bit steep. I was worried about the narrow roads but drivers always slow down, downshift to 2nd gear often and move to the side when passing a bicyclist. Ran into 2 riders name Gianni that were riding back to Olbia from Palau (110 km round trip with many hills) on a fancy colnago. There is a cool sparkling water refill station for 10 cents a liter!
