Ghosts of Mars (2001) von New Deal Studios
Continuing on with our #retrospective series, today we are highlighting the work that we did for Ghosts of Mars (2001).
The movie, directed by Director John Carpenter starred Ice Cube, Jason Statham & Clea DuVall. Both Matthew Gratzner and Ian Hunter shared the Miniature Effects Supervisor credit for the film, and in addition Ian was the Visual Effects Storyboard Artist.
For the project we fabricated all miniature effects including: 1:16 scale armored train, train station set, Mars landscape/junkyard, a 1:8 scale hot air balloon and windmil, & 1:24 scale mine exterior set.
