Pitch Black (2000) von New Deal Studios
Continuing on with our #retrospective series, today we are highlighting the work that we did for Pitch Black(2000).
The movie, directed by David Twohy, starred Van Diesel and Radha Mitchell. Both Matthew Gratzner and Ian Hunter shared the Miniature Effects Supervisor credit for the film.
For the project we designed and storyboarded the spacecraft and crash sequence. In addition, we fabricated a 1:36 scale spaceship, three 1:6 scale oversized ship sections, and one 1:6 scale cryogenic locker set.
