The ACDP National General Conference 2013 by ACDP
The ACDP National General Conference was held at Tshwane University of Technology from 06 -07 December 2013.

Please Tag yourselves and others. We have included many photo's as we wanted to represent most of the delegates in attendance.

The Conference was kicked off by "Commissions" from the MP's and MPL's on the following topics:

- How will the ACDP grow the Economy in order to create Jobs (Hon. W. Thring)
-The difference between the National Health Insurance and ailing Obamacare (Hon. J. Downs)
- Improving Productivity and work ethic in the Nation (Hon S. Swart)
- Developing a society of producers and not just consumers (Hon L. Meshoe)
- Collective for Democracy - Opposition Parties working together, prioritising the needs of South African citizens (Hon C. Dudley)
- Transforming the civil service to one that is professional, accountable, non-partisan and committed to delivering quality service (Hon G. Haskin)

The commission leaders then broke into groups with delegates to discuss and dialogue. This was then reported back to the conference.

Elections were held for the President and Deputy President. No nominations were put forward, and so Dr. Kenneth Meshoe and Wayne Thring remain in their respective positions.

Various reports were given, by NEC Chairman (Hon Jo-Ann Downs), Secretary General (Raymond Tlaeli), Treasurer (Derek Kissondooth) and IEC Treasurer (Hon Steve Swart). Concurrently, the Women of Destiny gave a report and the Youth Foundation and the FCOP had elections. Kagiso Monyadiwa is the new Youth Foundation President, Ntokozo Zama the new Chairman, and Grant Haskin and Michele Mann are the new Chairman and Secretary, respectively of the FCOP, with Hardus Koekemoer continuing to serve as Deputy Chairman. The Councillors forum met, and councillors gave reports.

The NEC that would take the party forward into the elections were announced, and motions and constitutional amendments were presented and voted on. The president addressed the conference, after which, all the provinces represented held a Dance/Sing off, to see which province had the most vibe. KZN won, and the Hon Lydia Meshoe congratulated them with a trophy.
