New Deal Studios - A Retrospective von New Deal Studios
Today we are starting our retrospective, taking a look back at all the projects we’ve worked on in the past 20 years. We'll be providing a further look inside into our craft, and the evolution of our company. We encourage you to participate in this #chronology and ask interesting questions, especially if you are a fan of our models and #visualeffects work.
Our company was officially founded on October 30, 1995 as Hunter Gratzner Industries. Our Co-Founders, Shannon Gans, Matthew Gratzner, and Ian Hunter collaborated on Broken Arrow. The movie came to be not only our first big break, but also our first credited title under the HGI banner. The project started John Travolta and Christian Slater, and was directed by John Woo. For the project we fabricated a 1:12 and 1:16 scale B-3 hangar, and a 1:6 scale bomb bay and bomb launcher, fully detailed.

I remember moving that thing through Playa on a flatbed! I may even have some old photos around here somewhere...
