Ted (and everyone else), keep an eye out. I'm going to try a Kickstarter campaign to help finance production. This is going to be an expensive book to produce with all of the foldouts (actually more than "Spaceship Handbook, adjusting for inflation), but I don't want to set the price any higher than $39.95.
The premiums for the KS campaign will be CD's with Nick's spectacular CGI (some animated) and lots of background images and videos, autographs by all of the authors, poster-sized renderings of the whole ship, etc.
For those that don't want to participate in the KS, I'll open it up to pre-order as soon as it is sent to the printer (so I can give you a firm shipping date). I'm still shooting for NARAM, but that's starting to look questionable. There's still a lot of the tedious-but-imp

Don't worry, Amadeus, I'll be spreading the word as far as I am able! The only thing that will change is the cover. What I posted here is my mock up (and, thank you Leon, I've already corrected "Alex" to "Alexander). As you may or may not have noticed, there is an attempt to get some Soviet imagery into the cover. The colors were sampled off of the Soviet flag and the LK/LOK vehicle makes the handle of a sickle which is completed by the "blade" of the crescent moon. The "hammer" of the N-1 finish off the image.
I was rather pleased with it, but some of the authors hated it (I won't say which ones). They thought the colors were way too garish (hey! that's what they were!) and the layout amateurish. I'm the first one to admit that I'm an engineer, not a graphic artist. So what I suggested is that we let the FB community decide. When we get closer to production I'll post all of the cover suggestions here for everyone to vote on. I have a cleaned-up version of the one here and the others will be submitting two or three more for consideration.
