Gogo Olympics by ACDP
On Friday the 22 March, the day after human rights day, the Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust (http://www.hillaids.org.za/) organised the Gogo Olympics. After all the news recently of Gogo Rape, Mbuso T Mthembu thought it would be good for our young men to support this event. Some of our ACDP Youth Foundation members attended to support the Gogo's. We were blowing our Vuvuzela's and cheering them on. It was nice to see them having so much fun and being valued - especially by youth. The dept of sport and recreation as well as We are Durban and Aquelle were there to help make sure the day went smoothly. There were also many other NGO's there. Well done HACT for a successful event. In many communities in South Africa, the Gogos are the pillars of society, often as the hardest workers, and often raising many children.
