In addition to the long list of Paramount titles I mentioned over on the board for the Most Wanted II album (I saw a couple of those make it into the album), I've found a couple more: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921), An American Tragedy (1931), So Evil My Love (1948), The Mysterious House of Dr. C (1966), The Crystal Ball (1943), Kongo (1932), Ruthless (1948), Fedora (1978), The Victors (1963), and The Phynx (1970). That's all for now.

'The Buddy System', with Richard Dreyfuss, Susan Sarandon and Nancy Allen isn't great but it's awful sweet.

Here are two films I would love to have on DVD: "Viva Max!" (1969) — Peter Ustinov as a Mexican general who reclaims the Alamo, with John Astin, Harry Morgan, Keenan Wynn, Jonathan Winters, and Kenneth Mars. And "Home Of The Brave" (1986) — the mesmerizing concert film by Laurie Anderson.

The 1981 comedy Gas is one movie I would like to see. From what I've heard it does have Rush's "Limelight" in the movie's soundtrack as well as "The Sign of the Gypsy Queen". Add in Donald Sutherland as DJ Nick the Noz as well as the plot of the phony gas shortage in an 'American' town (it's a Canadian film), this is one curio worth looking into - like Fire Sale, it also has a 'BOMB' rating from Leonard Maltin.

I'd like to see Only When I Laugh and Chapter Two finally make it on DVD, both Neil Simon films starring Marsha Mason

Gregor..I'm IN "Viva Max!!!" Was in San Antonio when they filmed it. Later in life I actually got to meet my all time hero Jonathan Winters..he said it is probably his favorite movie role. I have the VHS and it's still great!

and "The Island" I'm sure stinks as much now as it did when it opened wide in 1980. Total turkey.

Otto Preminger's Rosebud (1975) should be considered for the MIA list this month; an infamous bomb that even got tagged as "rosedud" by MAD magazine when it was released.

The King of Jazz (1930), which I believe was Bing Crosby's first film, is one that hasn't been released to DVD; it was released on VHS in a shortened print. I've heard that the original uncut version still exists - let's hope Universal puts that one out.

Also, The Magnetic Monster is on tonight on TCM at 8 PM PCT, which brings me to mention that the film is part of producer Ivan Tors' OSI trilogy, which includes both Gog and Riders to the Stars (both 1954) - both of which are also MIA.

Curse of the Undead (1959) is another Universal title that was released on VHS but not on DVD. Consider it as a precursor to Near Dark in the vampire western genre.

Paramount is sitting on a number of silent films that haven't been released to DVD, let alone VHS. The most notable of these are The Covered Wagon (1923; the film which set up the standards that would become cliches in the Western genre), Thunderbolt (1929; a missed opportunity for Criterion to put this in their Josef von Sternberg box set), Glorifying the American Girl (1929; produced by the Great Ziegfield himself and the original cut of the film - with Technicolor sequences - is preserved by the UCLA Film Archive), Hotel Imperial (1927; which would be remade as Five Graves to Cairo in 1943), The Four Feathers (1929; a David O. Selznick production which would have made a great suppelment on Criterion's upcoming edition), and A Woman of the World (1925).

Here's a couple more: both the 1929 and 1936 versions of Show Boat. Warner has been promising to release both along with the 1951 version but still nothing has come to pass.

Hands of the Ripper and Twins of Evil were announced for Blu-ray release by Synapse Films about a year ago, but - like Show Boat - no releases of either one have surfaced here in the States.

I just found this Hammer title that has not been released: Shadow of the Cat. If I remember correctly, I believe Universal holds the rights.

Goodbye Pork Pie a great 1981 film from New Zealand needs to be released on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Catastrophe (1978) is one title released through Roger Corman's New World Pictures that hasn't - as far as I know - been released on DVD. Looks like perfect material for Shout! Factory!

Dont know if this has been mentioned, but Christopher Lee as an alien villain in The Starship Invasions is a must and now that we are at that Legend of the Roller Blade 7 with the distinction of being one of the worst movies ever wouldnt hurt either.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but it would be pretty great to get The Park is Mine on disc.

Sure it's been mentioned here already, but I see that The Challenge (1982) is STILL not available (anywhere, I think) on DVD.

Here's one just for this election year: Wilson (1944), a pet project for Darryl F. Zanuck and a notorious box office flop in its time that was nominated for ten Academy Awards (winning five) including Best Picture.

Adam, do you have a textual list? Some of the thumbnails are hard to make out, and I'd love to see it printed out - alphabetically, perhaps.
