Pierce Ridge Tour, 11/3/15 by Ronald Horii
Pierce Ridge is a 41.5-acres of undeveloped former ranchland at the northeast edge of Almaden Quicksilver County Park along Whispering Pines Drive. It is owned by Joe Pierce, who together with his late brother Tony Pierce, owned the Pierce Ranch Dairy farm. He is a dairy farmer living in Modesto and wants to sell the property, preferably to the County for annexation to Almaden Quicksilver County Park. The County is interested in buying it and has made an offer. However, private parties have also expressed interest in the property for development or land banking. If the county doesn't buy it, it could end up being developed, like some of the neighboring land. It is being offered by Alain Pinel Realtors, represented by Therese Swan, and Realty World Eagle Properties Group, represented by Mike Gill. On 11/3/15, the property was open to the public for tours, led by Therese Swan. Here are pictures of part of the property.
