Anza Expedition Hike at Ed Levin, 11/7/15 by Ronald Horii
In celebration of the National Park Service Centennial, the Santa Clara County Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail for interpretive hikes in the County Parks about the Anza Expedition. The first hike was held at Ed Levin on 11/7/16. Upcoming hikes will be at Santa Teresa and Almaden Quicksilver in March, 2016. See:

The hikes are led by NPS ranger Daniel Sanchez. The hike in Ed Levin followed the Tularcitos, Agua Caliente, and Calera Creek Trails. The hike was about 3.7 miles, with a 600-foot altitude gain. Along the way, Daniel stopped at several locations to talk about and show pictures of the Anza Expedition.
I hiked part of this route when I went up to Monument Peak in 2009: http://www.stpfriends.org/EdLevin/MonumentPeakHike.html
