Rancho Canada del Oro Stargazing, 11/7/15 by Ronald Horii
On clear, cold evening on Nov. 7, 2015, I went to help out at the "Starry Nights in Open Space" event at Rancho Canada del Oro Open Space Preserve. I helped direct cars in the parking lot and pointed visitors to the check-in table. I had to do this in the dark, using only a red flashlight. After everyone was settled, I took my camera and tripod and took some pictures of the astronomers. These were taken with a 1 minute time exposure, using my red flashlight to illuminate the telescopes and astronomers from the San Jose Astronomical Association: http://www.sjaa.net/.
