Took the fig show on the road today to pick up this beautiful tree! The owner said it produces green fruit with a redish pink interior. I drove for about 30 minutes with the full 8 ft tall tree on the trailer, then decided to do the pruning before making the rest of the trip back. The previous owner cut the roots a little short for my liking so the pruning will do it good anyhow.
Sorry for the bad photos, I got it home after dark and got its new home all dug out and it installed. Its perfectly inline with the other figs in the yard. Love having an older tree in the yard to help keep the new ones in line! Total trip time was 3 hours and that root tree and rootball was pretty heavy to muscle around the trailer / yard alone.
