Ongoing situation and future development
Prague Letnany Airport (LKLT) is domestic and international airport.
Brand new fuel station – At the end of the year 2016, completely new fuel station for aircraft refuelling was built at the airport. The original fuel station did not comply with a demand for air fuels dispensing, and thus the operator decided to build a brand new system.
Fuels as AVGAS, MOGAS (Natural 95) and newly the fuel JET-A1 are available at the station. New system is fully self-service for contractual users and visitors are requested to contact reception for refuelling.
New runway - In autumn 2011, the owner of the airport started to renovate runway 05L and 23R, which has not been renovated since the time the airport started to operate. The renovation was done with regard to the requirements of nature conservation authorities. The runway was then levelled off and planted with grass. In year 2012, the runway was ceremonially opened and is now a benefit for all pilots.
