Ohhh my...This wedding day was extraordinary for many reasons. But possibly one of my favorite moments was the special first looked Ashley planned for her little brother, Nick.
.
Before the ceremony, these two carved out a moment to spend together. And it was so special and pure. Nick had some very heartfelt thoughts to share with his sister. When I tell you, that there was not a dry eye in the room... oh yes I was right along with them in tears. 😭
.
I love that Ashley and her husband Brian chose to include moments in their day that felt right to them, even if it’s a little outside the ‘normal’ or ‘traditional’. It’s so important to remember that this day is about your relationship, your families, and your values. And guess what? That’s different for everyone!
.
So those of you that are married, what are your favorite memories of your wedding day?
.
Mine was late in the reception, dancing to Forever Young with my husband and the random fireworks that went off right outside our reception venue. It was a happy coincidence that I’ll always remember. 💥

“I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the reason I
fell in love with my wedding dress. I had been to countless other
wedding dress shops, and no one made me feel as comfortable and listened
to as you did. Kim went above and beyond to listen to what I was
interested in, and came back with a range of options that matched my
wedding dress wish list. The process was smooth and seamless, the
dresses gorgeous and the associates dedicated to making sure I walked
out happy. You know it's the one when you and Kim both start getting
teary eyed!
I came in originally with my 2 bridesmaids and we were stuck between 2
dresses. The patience Kim had for me that day was second to none. I came
back later that week alone, and together Kim helped me decide what dress
I loved...After the
decision came a big hug (pre covid of course) and I knew I had made the
right choice.
As a side note, I went to three other bridal shops in the area. In
comparison to your staff, they were pushy, a bit edgy, and made me feel
rushed + forced into my decision making. I had heard countless times
"well you have to just pick one" or "if you find something you don't
like on every dress you'll never make a decision". There was a lot more
negativity than I anticipated experiencing but that was NOT the case at
M. A. Carr. While your appointments do have a time window to them, I felt
like the time was used wisely and not wasted on anything trivial. I did
not feel rushed, I felt cared for.
Thank you again, I will be sure to send everyone I know to you.”
