Last week in the news, an elementary school in California was charged $500 for showing a movie as a… More fundraiser without a license. We are proud to be able to say that we are 100% legal and pay 'Hollywood' their licensing fees to show movies each week. Some movies are more expensive than others - and this week is a good example. Our second movie licensing fee is $350 - which means we REALLY want to fill the house and maybe even ask for some extra donations at the door. It's just a few more hours until our 'Local Outdoor Themed Movie Night' starts - and even though the weather is pretty nice, we're certain that it will be dark by the time we start at 6 PM. These past few weeks have been a great reminder of Alaskan winters that we haven't seen in a few years. The cold snap has seemed unusual until you realize where we live!

Another unusual thing we have run into… More is a lack of groups wanting to fundraise at the movies by operating the concessions. If you participate in a local group that needs funds for its charitable purpose, send us a message and we will let you know how you can sign up. There are a whole bunch of 'open' nights this spring - including this week - and we would love to help you raise money for our community's needs at the same time you're helping everyone enjoy the movies with popcorn and snacks!
