About
As Miss Covil is an elected member of the New Hanover Board of Education she is there to represent the entire community. Recent statements she has made concerning homosexuality calling it a "perverted lifestyleMore" shows that she is a bigot and is incapable of serving in her capacity as a member of the board in a way that would be fair and equatable to all. we call upon her to resign her position and further call upon the New Hanover County Republican Party and the New Hanover County Board of Education to disavow her statements

A summary of today's Title IX Meeting if anyone is interested....feel free to read or watch the video. Or both!

The one positive to come out of today's Title IX Meeting is that Nelson Beaulieu is no longer onMore that Committee. While he seems a bit delusional in calling his work on the Title IX Committee his "legacy" when our county has more cases of sexual assault in our schools, than any other county we know of...at least the committee will move forward without him and that seems to be progress. Nelson claims that the Title IX Committee is the thing he is most proud of while he's been on the school board other than hiring Dr. Foust of course. We find that ironic. He also says that the work… More

The New Hanover County School district admits in a federally-mandated report that it failed to provide a prompt and fully equitable handling of a student’s sexual assault complaint, contradicting years ofMore assertions to the contrary from former top administrators.

The district claims it was unable to ascertain if those failures had caused lasting impacts on the student involved.
