Is it okay to post links here? I am trying to start up a Basic Fantasy game using the mRPG app. If anyone would like to play over text, I'm looking to run a campaign every other Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Central (US and Canada).

My Hardback came in today so I made a quick video about it!

For the longest time, I’ve been hoping for my son (9 year old now) to be interested in playing RPGs with me. It’s something I didn’t want to force him into so I’ve waited for the right time when he’s old enough to understand the rules of the game and make logical choices of the many trade offs the game may present.

Finally tonight, he made a BFRPG… More character by rolling 3d6 six times and assign the scores to the abilities as desired. He rolled an 18 and a 14! He was pretty excited about that. I explained to him why having a +3 modifier in Strength or Dexterity is such a big deal.

Lately, i've started a BFRpg campaign with some members og the Italian Translation Alliance, we're basically live on Twitch every thuesday night and we got a positive feedback.
Aside from being happy to diffuse the OSR here in italy i'm really grateful cause it's been ages since i last GMed, and it's both funny and stress relieving.
Anyway.
In the… More last session we had a real "OSR moment", after exploring a little part of the Olde Island Fortress level one, the decided to PC went back to Morgansfort to regroup after a random encounter with three skeletons.

So I was recently hit with a hard question. One of my party members, a fighter, wanted to see if he could learn a spell from the mage's book but IMO multiclassing is a nightmare. Has anyone made a system for a non magic user learning spells or something of that nature?
