RE-POSTING TO KEEP IT ON TOP, AND TO KEEP ATTACK-OF-THE-STUPIDS INCIDENTS TO A MINIMUM.

THIS IS RUMOR CONTROL, DATED THURSDAY, JUNE 14th. HERE ARE THE FACTS:

We know this:

1. Ancylus sent divers down on Friday 8th of June, and the word from the boat was that the crew was “very excited”;

2. The ship returned Sunday 10th of June, and some of the folks here (who either STAY in Norrtälje, or very close to it) managed to speak to some crew members;

3. From THAT, we learned that what they (the crew) found was “not of this nature”, and that the ship was being re-supplied for a return trip to the site at the soonest opportunity. PLEASE NOTE! This was translated from SWEEDISH, so the EXACT wording could be different!

4. ALSO from a crew member (one of the divers if I recall), we learnt that a “Press Release” or “Press Conference” was planned for Monday;

5. Monday 11th of June: Dennis Åsberg (Team leader?) posted that “Everything is top secret now... because of the risks... hope you all understand this is no game. But the truth will be reported shortly.”
6. Monday evening, it was rumored that the crew were preparing to set out again that evening;
7. Wednesday, 13th of June: Stefan Ohlsson Uploaded a photo of the docks at Norrtälje Habour where Ancylus was moored. The ship is CONFIRMED to be gone. Still NO OFFICIAL WORD has been heard from the OX team since Dennis Åsberg’s post on Monday.

TO DATE, NO press conference / press release has occurred... We are all still waiting for information from the OX team...

ONCE AGAIN: If anybody has any more details OTHER THAN what i’ve posted, please add to it... ONLY details which can be verified please! Nothing about “sumo-sized waffle irons” and nonsense like that.

Someone mentioned in another thread that the object could be lying upside down, and the hole is in the bottom of it. Also, Peter is identifying the substance as "soot". He mentions the word burnt, I think. Maybe it's in fact something else. However, if it is in fact soot, let's consider what causes soot to form.

I have been a heavy supporter of the disc crash theory, but recently I had a friend who knows nothing about this discovery bring forth the possibility that it is a Batholith. Which is basically like where volcanic actitivity is underground, but never makes it to the surface. My idea on it is it could of made a bulge or even come out of the ground some, and formed a mound which was covered by clay then from the effects of the current(even if minor) could of rounded it off. The only thing that I can really say to object to the Batholith idea is if you look closely at the picture in the bottom left side it clearly looks to be an object sitting partially buried in the sea bed. In the far far left it even appears to me to begging to curve back towards to middle like it may be dome shaped on the bottom as well.

Also I slightly disprove prove of the Batholith because i find it very hard to think what appears to be a perfectly round formation protruded itself from the ground because of volcanic activity... Also, supposedly from another poster said there has been no volcanic activity in this area for a very very long time. But I am unsure of the validity of that remark I generally like to research just havent had time yet today.

That is similar to the Batholith idea my buddy had. The only thing is you see how in the picture of the dome how at the bottom it gradually curves outward until it becomes level with the sea bed? In the video the object does not do that it seems to actually curve inward towards the center of the object.

And that really does not explain the skid mark either.

Maybe there is another explanation for the "skid mark". Maybe it's not a skid at all. (Peter is not using that word any longer.) And the statement in the article the chemical composition of the dome: “very unusual asphalt material,” is similar to what Peter said.

As I pointed out in another post:
Keep in mind the poor visibility down there. It is not possible to take an ordinary picture of the entire object.
Hence you can not compare the new images side by side with the sonar images. (which someone is still doing)
