Group Mission statement: The purpose of this Chatter group is to connect the people in the community in a friendly and respectful environment. Discussion on any ‘Hot Topics’ like public movements,… More freedom of speech, religion and politics, law enforcement etc. will need Admin/
1) All opinions and personal beliefs will be treated with mutual respect. Treat your fellow Facebook group members how you wish to be treated. Choose your words with kindness in mind - bullying by meme is still bullying.
2) Asking members for charitable donations of items or cash or to support a charity is NOT ALLOWED unless prior approval has been obtained from administrators.
3) Do not post someone else's identifiable information such as name, address, etc without that person's consent. Anyone who posts someone else's identifiable information such as name, address, etc without that person's consent will be immediately banned and the post deleted. This includes posts regarding ongoing police actions, auto accidents, etc. This also relates to posting photos of individuals without their knowledge for the purposes of humor/hatred/
4)There will be no bashing of businesses allowed. Cross posting of other groups will be allowed with prior admin approval.
5) If you Block a group admin you will be blocked from the group.
6) Buy-Sell-Trade posts are not permitted as we are not a buy-sell group. Tag or estate sales are allowed once per day. Litchfield or Hartford County Real Estate for sale or rent is also permitted once per day. Real Estate Ads must include the address, MLS#, price and broker contact info as well as listing agent contact info.
7) Pets/sale or re-homed for a FEE or FREE are NOT allowed. Legitimate rescue organizations and shelters are encouraged to post here. As usual, Lost and Found pets are welcome to be submitted here.
8) Local (Hartford or Litchfield County) Business advertisements are only allowed on Thursdays and ONLY ONE POST PER THURSDAY. Help Wanted Ads are allowed to be posted once per week.
9) Events must be an actual event coming up in the near future, can post once per week 4 weeks prior to the event.
