pro-life activist Amy Hedtke was just arrested at the state capitol for attempting to record a committee meeting on an abortion bill in the Texas House despite the fact that state law is supposed to allow it. DPS officers dragged her out of the meeting and out of the building in handcuffs (literally, she was limp) as she calmy recited verbatim and cited the law to them that is supposed to allow her to record the meeting.

Please call DPS and demand her release. This is not supposed to be a police state.

DPS just called me back and insisted that the committee chair has the right to over ride state law and if we don't like it to take it up with him! Folks we are in a police state!
