One year ago today. Do you think this will be the session?

Anymore, when I hear someone say "We have to protect our 2nd amendment right!" I cringe and think to myself "The 2nd amendment doesn't give you a right, friend."
The right to bear arms is a God given natural right that existed long before the 2nd amendment was authored, and will exist long after the 2nd amendment has run its course with this empire.
The 2nd amendment is simply a restriction on the federal government only - not the States - only the federal government.
Just once I want to hear a member of a State legislature anywhere say something like...
"When it comes to guns the Constitution is clear, and the power to manage the right to bear arms is reserved to the citizens of each State. The time has come for the citizens of this State to tell the members of this overreaching federal government to pound sand when they disregard the limit placed on them by the 2nd amendment."
Of course, I won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
Limited government anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
