15 years ago today, the world stood silent as we watched, in horror, as America was attacked by radical Islamic terrorists. As planes crashed, buildings crumbled, and thousands of innocent Americans lost their lives - we saw the best in our people as Americans responded with love, courage, bravery and sacrifice – running into the smoke and flames to help their fellow man. As we reflect on today, may we all take pause to remember the lives lost that day, the sacrifice of the first responders, police officers, firefighters, service members, and ordinary Americans who rushed into harms way, risking their own lives to save others. You will never be forgotten.
Let us also remember that from that day on, we have been at war with a hateful ideology that despises us as Americans for our freedom and the very core of who we are. In the face of new attacks here and around the world from ISIS and other radical Islamic groups, we must stay vigilant. We must stand strong. And most of all, we must stand united. These groups want to tear us apart through fear and hate. We will not let them.
Let us all thank the men and women in uniform who’ve fought and sacrificed the continuing war on terror and let us all stand united as one in defense of the values and freedoms that bring us together as one.
Always glad to join Mark Larson on AM 760! Now that the Congressional Election has been won, we discussed what comes next.
I’m so impressed with how well Mayor Brian Maryott did in his race. He outperformed both President Trump and the polls — showing that this is still a winnable Republican seat with the right candidate. If Brian was our nominee in 2018 when the seat was open, I’m sure he would have won. Well done Brian! I look forward to continuing to work with you in service to our region.
Unlike members of Congress who just pretend to, Alex Trebek actually HAD all the answers. Rest In Peace to a great American who brought millions of families together for fun and learning every night. He will be missed. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/alex-trebek-beloved-jeopardy-host-dies-after-cancer-battle-age-n990066
