About Coalition of Communities of Color
Formed in 2001, the CCC is an alliance of culturally-specific and multi-cultural community based organizations with representation from the following communities: African, African American, Asian, Latino, Native American, Pacific Islander, and Slavic communities.

The mission of the Coalition of Communities of Color is to address the socioeconomic disparities, institutional racism, and inequity of services experienced by our families, children and communities; and to organize our communities for collective action resulting in social change to obtain self-determination, wellness, justice and prosperity.

The CCC advances racial equity in community and economic development, education, health and human services, and housing through policy analysis and advocacy, culturally-appropriate data and research, equity-based funding, leadership development, and partnership and coalition building.

Our theory of change is that through increased capacity, shifted discourses, reformed non-policy and policy practices, improved policy outcomes, and broader community and social impacts we can ensure that racial and ethnic inequities are eliminated so that everyone in our community can prosper.

Our member organizations include:

Asian Pacific Network of Oregon (APANO), El Centro Milagro (Miracle Theatre), Hacienda CDC, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO), IRCO Africa House, IRCO Asian Family Center, Latino Network, Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA), Portland Community Reinvestment Initiatives, Inc.
