We are part of the international network of autonomous Light Brigades that began with the creation of the original Overpass Light Brigade in Wisconsin during the winter of 2011. The Chicago Light Brigade is based in Rogers Park, on the North Side of Chicago, but our members, supporters, and allies reside in neighborhoods throughout the city. We are an inclusive, nonviolent organization that focuses on creative tactics, some of which involve the use of light projection and our signature LED light banners.

We seek to shine a light on political, social, and economic injustice wrought by corporate dominance, the privatization of public resources, and the oppression of marginalized communities.
