The response from the Remain campaign on my remarks this morning shows the depths to which they will sink in their smears against those who campaign for Leave.

I have repeatedly condemned Vladimir Putin's actions in the Ukraine.

As it happens I didn't even discuss the issue of the Russian leader this morning. I merely said what is relatively uncontroversial - that the EU handling of Ukraine was very far from ideal.

It is absolutely contemptible to call me an apologist for Putin.

The Remain campaign are clutching pathetically at straws and they should themselves apologise.

They having nothing positive to say about Britain's future. Jack Straw is tacitly admitting what we all know - that the deal delivered absolutely no change in Britain's relations with the EU.

These are the hard truths. And they are trying to disguise them by their usual confection of distortion and untruth.

These are the questions that the Remainers need to answer:

1. How can you possibly control EU immigration into this country?

2. The Living Wage is an excellent policy, but how will you stop it being a big pull factor for uncontrolled EU migration, given that it is far higher than minimum wages in other EU countries?

3. How will you prevent the European Court from interfering further in immigration, asylum, human rights, and all kinds of matters which have nothing to do with the so-called Single Market?

4. Why did you give up the UK veto on further moves towards a fiscal and political union?

5. How can you stop us from being dragged in, and from being made to pay?

... And won't and can't.

I also believe if we leave the EU it WILL change, and for the better, for us all. We are not the only people fed up with faceless beaurocracy (can't spell that one!). Personally I am not against working within Europe and I feel sure we will continue to do so, but we must stand against unelected people imposing sometimes ridiculous regulations upon us all. The ordinary Dutch man-in-the-street feels the same, and (a surprise to me) apparently many French do as well.

London has had a string of hopeless mayors. Ken, you and now Sadiq with promises of grandeur that never eventuate.. Boris mate you do realise that over 50% of London's population, us included, were born overseas? Do you have any idea how destructive this will be to the city? I look around my workplace in central London and see many EU nationals, most of them were given jobs because we needed bi-lingual workers in the European market. Won't that be great if this labour pool dries up? Housing pressure in London may suddenly get affordable, but the house I've worked so hard for to buy will soon have negative equity thanks to your shortsightedness.

When you consider Putin was the only one who stood up to ISIS, something is seriously wrong with your argument. Answering your points.

1. EU immigration to this country is less than outside EU immigration to this country and all immigration into the UK is controlled by the UK government. There is this thing called the British Border Force and the Home Office. So any failures are purely in the hands of the UK. Nothing to do with the EU.
2. The Living Wage should be renamed the Survival Wage, you can't live on £9 an hour in London, you can barely survive but Living Wage implies living. As for how, perhaps you should ask your business friends to stop hiring less qualified and cheaper staff instead of competent, qualified staff.
3. The European Court is a separate entity within the EU. Many laws passed by the European Court have helped countless UK citizens achieve the justice denied to them by the British courts which many years later even the British government accepted as fair. As for interference, again, there is none. European laws do not superseed (overpower) British laws, so any problem is entirely at the hands of UK government. Again, nothing to do with the EU.
4. No UK veto was given up. There was actually a written acceptance that "the UK is exempt from any future move towards further integration". That should be pretty clear to anyone who can read English.
5. Draged in? Made to pay? The EU funds many UK projects via both the ESF (European Social Fund) and the EDA (European Development Agency), both of which have poured countless millions into making the UK better in areas of the country constantly ignored by UK central government. Education has allowed for many free courses (Silver Surfers, ECDL, Numeracy, Literacy), these were funded by the ESF.

Amazing for a man who was Mayor of London, MP, Editor of some publication, (apparent) author, who seems unable to know any of these basic facts. I'm actually quite shocked that you didn't know any of this Boris. Very disappointing!

I'm voting to leave the EU. Not because I'm a racist, not because I don't like Europeans. Not because I think we're wasting money. Not because I think we're mighty Britain and to hell with the rest of Europe. Not because, I think we don't need to work effectively with our EU partners.
I'm voting to leave, simply so we can gain control of our borders. And that has nothing to do with taking in refugees, which is a totally separate issue. We can still be compassionate, in or out of the EU.
I think it's sensible to control immigration. It's a no brainer, that our services and schools are over stretched because we can't plan building programmes, since we're don't know what our population will be from on year to the next.
And it's not hard to see how our green and pleasant land is going to become a building site (particually England) if this madness doesn't end. It might mean the break up of Great Britain but that's going to happen one day anyway, the SNP will see to that and it might mean we're slightly less well Off but money isn't everything and perhaps we'll be involved in less future Wars, not more as Cameron would have us believe.
There's nothing wrong with an economic trade block but a EU super state, does not appeal.
So I've made my mind up.
And I feel good 👍👌😀

Cameron has more or less stated that a Brexit would trigger a war (several sources claim he said WWIII) within Europe, I guess he means between the UK and EU members, then went on to say the EU are about "peace" and "stability"... Well, the way I see it, the UK have no interest in starting a war with any European country let alone with an EU member simply because we're not threatening any with military action, and in any case it will be highly illegal since all EU members and the UK are members of NATO, every member are forbidden to trigger military conflicts (war) with another member of the alliance, so I think the UK at least know their place in that regard. So, what's he saying? Are the EU members going start an highly illegal war... What for? What are their intentions? What 'exactly' are they going to do?...

Here is a list of some Independent Global financial institutions that have openly taken a position in favour of staying IN the EU: The International Monetary Fund IMF, the Bank of England , the EOCD

This is what the EOCD says in it's website about Brexit

By 2020, GDP would be over 3% smaller than otherwise (with continued EU membership), equivalent to a cost per household of GBP 2200 (in today’s prices). In the longer term, structural impacts would take hold through the channels of capital, immigration and lower technical progress. In particular, labour productivity would be held back by a drop in foreign direct investment and a smaller pool of skills. The extent of foregone GDP would increase over time. By 2030, in a central scenario GDP would be over 5% lower than otherwise – with the cost of Brexit equivalent to GBP 3200 per household (in today’s prices). The effects would be even larger in a more pessimistic scenario and remain negative even in the optimistic scenario. Brexit would also hold back GDP in other European economies, particularly in the near term resulting from heightened uncertainty would create about the future of Europe. In contrast, continued UK membership in the European Union and further reforms of the Single Market would enhance living standards on both sides of the Channel.‌

This is what the IMF said
If the 23 June referendum in the UK were to produce a vote in favour of leaving the EU, the IMF would expect negotiations on post-exit arrangements to be protracted, which it warned "could weigh heavily on confidence and investment, all the while increasing financial market volatility".
It also believes a UK exit from the EU would "disrupt and reduce mutual trade and financial flows" and restrict benefits from economic co-operation and integration, such as those resulting from economies of scale.
The No campaign can not provide one study by any independent financial institution that can provide advantages from coming out.

On sovereign the OUT is saying that by coming out the UK will gain sovereignty, and to explain that they are deceiving people let's look at what is happening to countries outside the EU like Norway or Switzerland.
They both contribute towards the EU budget and access the EU market, in exchange for free movement of people and goods, they also accept the vast majority of the EU legislations.... so what would change if the UK accepted this approach.... not much but the UK would loose the power to vote and shape the new laws and also would loose the power to veto any future decision.
The Brexit is saying that however the UK could dictate terms with the EU being the 5th biggest Economy in the World and to put it in context this is the economic position of the other major countries in Europe
Germany 4th, UK 5th, France 6th and Italy 8th.
The EU as a whole is second only to the USA...and the UK is going to dictate terms?
I have attached an article that can explain in better that I can do.

We pay, but have no say: that’s the reality of Norway’s ...
www.theguardian.com
A s a former foreign minister of Norway, I am following Britain’s debate about its future relationship with the European Union with great interest.

The OUT campaign says that the EU is not a democracy and that the UK has no power in the EU.
I have attached an explanation written by a friend on how the EU works
The EU is not a foreigner power, the UK is part of a union and shares the power on only certain issues.
The EU is not a government, since its members are sovereign nations and only 15 % of the UK legislation is by the EU. The UK’s sovereign parliament makes still most of its own legislation and has budgetary control over its household and is in control of its military, police, borders
The EU is an association of nations which works for the common good and at its core are the economic interests of its members.
There are also union within the union like Schengen or the Eurozone and not all the members of Schengen are also members of the Eurozone.
The UK ‘opted out’ of many EU agreements, which it believed were unsuitable for Britain, like the Social Charter, Schengen, Monetary Union, Areas of freedom, security and justice, the Charter of Fundamental Rights. More recently, ever closer union and the freedom of movement was restricted.
However, the EU follows certain principles of a modern democracy. There is a clear separation of Powers.
LEGISLATIVE
The elected and accountable members in the Council of Ministers make a proposals that becomes a white paper, which is subsequently debated, if the council has made a decisions it instructs the Commission to formulate a draft bill, the proposal is than scrutinized by the Council, the National Parliaments and the European parliament and passes or not.
The elected and accountable Members of the European Parliament can also initiate legislation and they veto ratify legislation.
There is also an ongoing consultation process between all parties.
We definitely have a democratic choice.
EXECUTIVE
The members of the European Commission are appointed by the above and are accountable to the above and can be dismissed by the above
The Commission main task is the implementation of EU legislation.
The Commission is also on request by the above preparing draft bills and amendments for pre-legislative scrutiny. The commission also makes proposals. (British civil services are doing the same thing).
The Commission doesn't make the decisions and the law.
(The Commission is also the scapegoat for everything including the failings by the UK’s National Governments)
JUDICIAL
The European Court of Justice is ensuring EU that law is interpreted and applied the same in every EU country; ensuring countries and EU institutions abide by EU law.
Not to be confused with European Court of Human Rights
Which falls under the Council of Europe, which is not part of the EU, which is a completely different and independent organisation with 47 member states

The EU has had a massive influence over UK employment law rights. The following were introduced by virtue of our membership of the EU, and are at risk if we leave or renegotiate our membership terms (this is not an exhaustive list):

• Minimum paid annual leave (now 28 days a year including bank holidays)

• Additional rights for agency and temporary workers and for part-time workers

• Current pregnancy and maternity leave rights

• Parental leave

• Working time (which includes a maximum of a 48-hour week unless you agree otherwise, and minimum rest breaks each day)

• Equal pay

• Anti-discrimination rules on race, sex, disability, age and sexual orientation

• Data protection rights

If Brexit wins we should expect an increase in grocery prices followed by an increase in Mortgage rates as this is the most effective weapon in the hand of the Bank of England to reduce prices also expect a reduction on holidays a reduction on parental leave an increase on working hours , the benefits of the OUT are based on overly optimistic and unrealistic hypothesis not backed by any independent financial institution ...are you willing to risk it all? I hope not.
Have a great day

That is what has happened. Germany and France have joined together, as has Poland, Holland and so many of the countries who freed themselves from Communism. The idea is to trade together and work for the good of all, and without it we may have had far more trouble in those countries when they left. As Churchill said we must be a community in Europe, and that is exactly what we are. We have enemies out side which is why we need the shared security, crime prevention and defence across Europe as well as the extra influence in NATO that gives us. And here's a smear, you are just a rather unpleasant opportunist who is using this referendum to oppose staying in, just so that you think it enhances your chance of being PM, appealing to the dinosaurs in your own party, and like Donald Trump, appealing to the least informed members of the easily led population. Offering all adults a jab less than 200 days after the programme launched is one of our country’s greatest collective achievements.

I cannot thank all those involved in this extraordinary, lifesaving national effort enough.

Let’s finish the job. Please get your jabs.

All adults in England can book a COVID vaccine.

Boris. That’s great however what I’d like to know is why I have to isolate for 10 days in a hotel and your visitors from abroad don’t. I have had the vaccine x2 i was tested 2 days before arrival and 2 days after and still have to be tested after 8 days (tomorrow) then even if I get the results back on the same day I still have to wait until day 11. Can you please explain why?

I'm not anti vaccine, let me make that clear. I'm 74years old and been having them for one thing or another all my life. BUT, after the first dose of the AZ after two days of not feeling well l collapsed and ended up in hospital with my BP so low l could have died. Then my sugar levels dropped, was put on two drips and the bruising on my face and round my eyes was horrendous. I still don't feel 100%, so Mr Prime minister, I've CHOSEN NOT to have a second dose of whatever is in this so called vaccine, and am going to live the rest of my life as l choose.

Nuclear energy: Fusion plant backed by Jeff Bezos to be built in UK

Canadian company General Fusion is set to build a $400m fusion demonstrator near Oxford.

Fusion energy has been thirty years away for over sixty years. We're more likely to see the onset next ice age before fusion becomes practicable. Then, we'll all be encouraged to burn more fossil fuels to hold back the advance of the polar ice caps. When the current bun goes through its next cooling cycle mankind will see how little can be done to modify the climate.
