Below is a summary of ARNG Education Programs and Services. ARNG Soldiers should contact their State Education Services Officer (ESO) to determine eligibility for the various benefits, entitlements, and programs.

𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗙𝗧𝗔):

• Available to currently serving ARNG Soldiers
• Money paid directly to the school through ArmyIgnitED
• Pays tuition costs up to $250 per semester hour, for up to 16 semester hours per fiscal year
• Apply through ArmyIgnitED: www.armyignited.com

𝗚𝗜 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀:

• Available to currently serving ARNG Soldiers, Veterans, and approved eligible dependents.
• Multiple programs available depending on your military service.
• Money paid directly to you or the college on a monthly basis to cover costs associated with going to school.
• GI Bill Kicker program may supplement your basic benefit GI Bill payments (if eligible)
• Go to www.va.gov and submit the Veterans Online Application

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (CA):
• CA will provide Soldiers up to $4,000 each year to pay for a credential.
• Soldiers may use both Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) and Army Credentialing Assistance (CA); however, the combined usage shall not exceed $4,000 per FY.
• CA can be used for any credential listed on Army COOL (https://www.cool.osd.mil/army/) and does not have to be related to the Soldier’s MOS.
• CA will pay expenses for classroom, hands-on, online/blended training and associated materials to include: manuals, study guides, textbooks, processing fees, test fees, related fees for continuing education requirements, and recertification of credentials.

𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺:

• Reimbursement for costs associated with earning a State or National licensure or certification
• Includes: Exam fee, registration fee, up to $500 for prep course or study material

𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴:

• Defense Language testing including; DLPT
• College credit exams including CLEP and DSST

𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗔𝗣𝗧):

• Free testing opportunities offered at selected ARNG and Active Army testing locations.
• Army-specialized training, personnel placement, and language proficiency exams such as AFCT, SIFT, DLAB, DLPT, and OPI

𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗻-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀:

• Employer-sponsored Registered Apprenticeship (RA) and On-the-Job training programs provide a unique opportunity to earn full-time wages, collect GI Bill benefits, and attain a nationally recognized credential in over 1,100 officially recognized occupations.
• Key RA industries include: aerospace, biotechnology, construction, energy, geospatial, health care, information and communications technology, advanced manufacturing, and transportation and logistics.
