AFT-Maryland joined other concerned partners and community groups at a City Council Hearing on Wednesday regarding the Port Covington TIF. Among concerns are adverse effects on funding for city services, particularly education and housing. A Labor/Activist/Religious coaltion is seeking to get their demands written into the agreement before giving support to the City Council to sign off on the largest TIF in Baltimore history.
