Western Wood Structures has been in the living up to its name since 1969. Decades before Mass Timber became a buzzword, Western Wood Structures has been designing, supplying and erecting some of the most iconic timber structures in the world. From the 530 ft. diameter Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington to the 475 foot Cable Stayed Suspension Hiroshima Airport Bridge WWSI has been widely known for innovative designs and methods of erecting Heavy Timber and now Mass Timber structures.
Founded in 1969 by a team of timber sales and engineering experts, WWSI has been a leader in the design and construction of timber structures including domes, bridges and other large timber structures. The original partners all traced their experience and training back to Timber Structures which was at the time the pre-eminent engineered timber supplier from 1940 through the 1960s.
