Mattie Sardi-Brown In July 2008, Mattie, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma - bone #cancer. He endured 14 months of treatment, including high dosage chemotherapies and experimental immunotherapy. Treatment has psychological consequences, which led Mattie to be diagnosed with clinical depression, anxiety, and medical trauma stress. “Childhood cancer is not just about the medicine. #Psychosocial support enhances adherence with medical treatment, it helps to manage pain symptoms and improves overall quality of life.
