"سكاي لاين الدولية" تندد باعتقال السلطة الفلسطينية ناشطا أمريكيا من أصول فلسطينية

نددت مؤسسة "سكاي لاين الدولية" (مؤسسة حقوقية سويدية مقرها ستوكهولم) اليوم الثلاثاء باعتقال جهاز المخابرات التابع للسلطة الفلسطينية الناشط الأمريكي من أصول فلسطينية "مشعل لافي الكوك" في مدينة رام الله في الضفة الغربية منذ ثلاثة أيام.
وقالت "إيدير سيدا" الناطقة باسم المؤسسة في بيان صحفي، إن الكوك تم اعتقاله خلال تواجده في رام الله بغرض حضور حفل زفاف لأحد أقاربه وذلك بتهمة التحريض ضد السلطة الفلسطينية على خلفية إدارته صفحة على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي (الفيسبوك) في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
والمعروف أن الكوك هو ناشط في الجالية الفلسطينية في الولايات المتحدة وأحد مدراء ومؤسسي موقع "فلسطينيون في الولايات المتحدة" المعني بالشأن الفلسطيني والعربي ويتضمن تقارير ومقالات تنتقد سياسات السلطة الفلسطينية.
وذكرت سيدا أن مؤسسة "سكاي لاين" تواصلت مع أحد مديري الصفحة المذكورة وهو محمد ريان الذي قال إن خلفيات اعتقال الكوك هو انتقادات الصفحة لسياسات السلطة مع الحريات العامة والتنسيق الأمني مع إسرائيل.
وطالبت سيدا السلطة الفلسطينية بإطلاق سراح الكوك فورا، مؤكدة أن اعتقاله يعد مخالفة للقانون الدولي الذي يضمن حرية التعبير عن الرأي. كما طالبت السلطات الأمريكية بالتدخل والضغط على السلطة لإطلاق سراح مواطنها.
وجددت التحذير من تبعات الاستمرار في تطبيق قانون الجرائم الالكترونية في فلسطين الذي بدأ بتطبيقه بداية الشهر الحالي لما تمثله صيغته الحالية من انتهاك لحقوق المواطنين والأفراد والتجمعات في التعبير عن آرائهم بحرية بعيدا عن الملاحقات القانونية.
وختمت الناطقة باسم "سكاي لاين الدولية" بتأكيد أن ارتفاع الاعتقالات والاستدعاءات على خلفية القانون الفلسطيني المذكور يدعو للقلق، مطالبة المجتمع الدولي بالضغط على السلطة الفلسطينية لتعديل القانون وفقا للقوانين والعهود الدولية التي تضمن حق الناس بالتعبير عن آرائهم.
USPCN is sad to announce the passing of Mike Siviwe Elliott, lifelong organizer and fighter for justice. Mike was politicized on the streets of Detroit, living through the Black rebellion of the 60s, where he witnessed the organizing and intense repression against the Black Panther Party.
He went on to become an auto worker and union organizer in the Detroit auto plants, where he was introduced by Arab colleagues to the Palestinian liberation movement.
We will never forget Mike's unwavering commitment to the Rasmea defense campaign, traveling with us from Chicago to Detroit for each and every court date, and working tirelessly in Chicago to build true cross-community solidarity between Black and Arab communities in support of Rasmea.
Mike was a leader in the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression's camapaign for an all-elected Civilian Police Accountability Council, and a tireless fighter for justice for all oppressed people, with a deep commitment to international solidarity, which he practiced with every waking breath.
We will miss him dearly. Rest in Power, Mike Siviwe Elliott!
