It’s been a while since our last #ReadingList feature, so today we’ll get schooled by an old school kind of guy…
Andrew Krepinevich is a unique individual. Sure he’s the head of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments and consultant to secretaries of defense, the CIA, the Homeland Security Council and the Joint Forces Command, but it’s his interest in preparing for the unthinkable that makes him a pretty interesting guy – at least to us.
We’re constantly exploring (and experimenting with) different fictional constructs and guys like Krepinevich give us the perspective and inspiration needed to maintain that “plausible authenticity” that is so important to the Call of Duty experience.
The good news: Seven Deadly Scenarios is a great read and will make you better informed about global security issues. The only bad news: you’ll never read newspaper headlines quite the same way again.
