There is no one on TV I respect more or LOVE to watch than Mike Rowe! From hanging with the boys on This Old House to his great sense of humor to his love of career/trade education...Mike Rowe is an American treasure. Keep it up Mike! As a high school counselor, I use your messages of learning a trade as much as I can, to give my students the options of true fulfillment they might otherwise never know exist. Thanks Mike.

Mike Rowe, thank you for all you do! I appreciate and enjoy your shows, post and letters from Mom. Your efforts to get craftsman trained , employed and filling the gaps the so need filled is nothing short of amazing. People just have got to realize that having a degree doesn’t make you better at completing task only experience does. Thanks again for all you do and please keep on keeping on ! Love ya man

If the Science Channel kowtows to some lone, nutty FB poster, all hope is lost! The current climate in which every offended person feels their opinions are so important they must be put on social media is so exasperating. Not only do so many feel their view is the ONLY acceptable view, they also believe companies must conduct their business accordingly...and that their lame posts should shape company policy. But what's even more alarming is that some (many) companies are indeed kowtowing to this type of pressure. The majority of us who are too busy going about our lives (WORKING real jobs, etc) to post our opinions and threats to company's FB pages are left shaking our heads.

I absolutely agree with Mike Rowe's logic! A narrator tells someone else's story with someone else's words--Mike's baritone voice does this very well.. A writer tells the story from his/her perspective in his/her words--Mike does this very well in his own writing and postings. These two uses of words and voice are very different, though some people don't seem to get this. I also agree with his other points--scientific inquiry is just that; it is a question that only testing and/or time can answer. Scientists can doubt or uphold a particular view, but until that view is tested to a high degree of certainty, or until enough time passes, the question remains open to speculation by others.

I love to read and listen to Mike. However, why he would go on tucker carlson's shitty little right wing show is beyond me. Mike Rowe - book yourself on something better - Maybe The Daily Show?

Mike, my son loves watching How the Universe Works. And I’ve now decided that if I have to hear over and over how the universe is going to end, I’d much rather hear it from you. 😁

I have to give props to Tucker Carlson for understanding and, above all, appreciating, Mike's ability and foresight-fullness to keep his political opinions to himself. It's one of the reasons I appreciate and have followed Mike for a lot of years. He's absolutely brilliant and ALWAYS comes across as someone who cares about what comes out of his mouth (and mind).

Mike Rowe, while I don't normally watch Tucker Carlson or Fox news your post struck me as worth watching, as well as digging further into your link and reading the post. I must say I am always amazed at how well thought out and well written your responses are. I am NOT a college grad, was a card carrying union worker for years and am now a fairly successful REALTOR in an area where the majority of my clients hold advanced degrees (& yet none has asked what school I graduated from). Your views on the work ethic and how our young perceive what is acceptable as a career are refreshing to say the least. While your political views are rightly your own to share (or not), I must say I am proud to mention (when asked) that I voted for you as MY choice for POTUS in the last election. Keep up the good work and Illegitimi non carborundum!

I just read the "Rebecca" post and your response and I watched the video posted here. I am currently a SAHM but spent 5 years on active duty in the Marine Corps, 6 years as a secondary science teacher and most recently, an advocate and case manager for homeless veterans. I say all of that to say this- like you I do not subscribe to any one absolute. I can be conservative and liberal, I can know science and appreciate religion, I can work hard to support my family outside of the home and stay home to take care of my children. Our world and our homes need all of it!
I sincerely appreciate all of your work as it has directly and indirectly effected my life- your support of the military and veterans, your narration of science in a clear manner, and your support of students and trades.
My oldest child competed a few days ago in a Skills USA automotive event and loved it!
Our home is all that you speak of- I am highly (maybe over) educated and my husband is an ironworker. We see the value in education in all of it's forms. I hope my boys grow up to be happy and successful- whatever that means to them. I am proud of my aspiring auto mechanic and my future Marine and maybe we'll get a doctor or lawyer and all of that is important.
Thanks again for all you do in service of our country's citizens, even the ungrateful ones.

You can’t fix stupid in some of these people and whatever your opinion is on anything you deal with it with grace and respect!( I’m sure something your parents taught you!) even your reply’s on the comments here are never malicious. Mike Rowe 2024! After the business man set's this country on track, and cleans this mess up, we need someone that "thinks in the middle" that's gonna keep the hard working men and women in this country the 1st priority. Is it sad that I’m not even sure I care what your political views are, nor do I need you to share them...but I would vote for you for president in about half a heartbeat based solely on your relationship with your mom. ❤️

Please Mike Rowe, everyone knows you are a [insert opposite political party of speaker] who hates [insert a favored group], and loves [insert a disliked group]. If only you would stop going on [insert disliked TV network] and focus on [whatever speaker is interested in and thinks is right] then [the speaker] would [like/dislike] you [more/less]. It couldn't possibly be any clearer!

At first, the original criticism did not make sense. You’re a wonderful narrator. However, frankly, after watching the Universe show, I’m wondering if you’re not too good for them. Just my humble opinion, although I could qualify the assertion with facts.

Many people have said they’d love to have a recording of you reading the Bible. I am happy that I wasn’t the only person to make that suggestion.

Now, I have a more outrageous request. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to make this request even if it’s a long shot. Pastor Joel tells us to ask big. So, here’s my big prayer.

Mike Rowe for President...sounds good in theory but not reality. If he were to be President, he would have to choose a side. Mike is needed in the middle, to point out the good and the bad on both sides. We don't always agree with him, but that's what makes democracy work, the ability to choose a position from the facts. Let Mike, and hopefully more like him, provide us with the facts and then society can make an informed decision.

Dear Mike: You summed Rebecca up very nicely with your comment "but mostly because your tactics typify a toxic blend of laziness and group-think that are all too common today – a hot mess of hashtags and intolerance that deepen the chasm currently dividing our country." Mike Rowe - one of the most truly valuable people on the planet. He's bringing common sense back to the public eye where it's been sadly missing for a long time. It's what we've been sorely needing as long as I can remember. Keep up the great work, Mike!

I'm an odd cat, generally I don't have time to read, so I prefer one gives me video. But with Mr Mike Rowe I love to read what you've written so I'm always I bit dubious to click a video but as always your written word and your spoken word present brilliantly. As an "argue from the middle" kind of guy I sincerely hope you may someday influence our political landscape further.

I love how Mike always corrects his naysayers with class and finesse, never hateful or angry. Bravo!

Happy to write your producers, network suits, or anyone paying for advertising...if they are foolish enough to replace one of the most recognizable voices out there. Much ado about nothing...really...from someone opinionated but with no real argument. I am in support that you keep doing what you do...plus you are entertaining. Isn't that sort of the point?

I've watch Dirty Jobs and listen to you voice countless documentaries, which was just after I graduated high school. You're the reason I got into construction. I feel that watching you and your work ethnic has changed my life and don't believe I would have much of one without watching you. Please continue to be you and inspire the many generations to come.
