This young man is blessed to be a Texan, and I am blessed to be this young Texan's dad.
There is more good than evil in this world, and the difference in magnitude is not even close. Texas has demonstrated this over the last few days.
If the bulk of your perspective is framed by news outlets and the perusal of social media, you probably believe the world is on the cusp of being overwhelmed with tribalistic hatred. This is an intentional misrepresentation of reality. The number of good, caring people in our communities vastly overwhelms the number of vindictive, evil people.
We don't need a catastrophic disaster to see this. It's convenient, because it forces news outlets to show acts of selflessness and heroism during their prime time slot, but it's not necessary. Every now and then just turn off the tv, put down your phone, go outside, and get to know your neighbors.
People care about each other. People help each other. That's the world I choose to live in.
I'm blessed to be a Texan.
Secession is not a bad option, people. In all seriousness, it’s probably the best option. We are too large, the Constitution has been dead for a long time, and there is far too much power held by just a few people. Maybe it’s time to have an adult conversation about divesting power and leaving each other alone.

Biden wins China with 92%
Dan Crenshaw clearly states on his radio ad that he wants unconstitutional federal involvement in the economy, healthcare, education, and more, which any run of the mill big government loving Democrat would agree with, but according to Dan, the blue team wants socialism. The guy is as clueless the clueless who idolize him. This is today’s Republican Party. #WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot
