WE HAVE A WINNER!
It's only Tuesday and we already have a winner of the "Progressive Comment of the Week" award.
After being shown James Madison's explanation of its use, here is our winner commenting on the general Welfare clause and James Madison's explanation:
"Sorry seems you don't understand the elastic clause - seems promoting general welfare can and does include health - like fighting cancer , HIV , or any other health issues like vaccines
Madison can express all his hopes or fears - he has just one of millions of opinions / So as I stated we have over 200 plus years changed and adapted the constitution as needed . I do have a degree in economics and government -- we have did limit the power of the states when the constitution was written for a purpose / You quote a man dead for over 200 years of our Constitutions existence- he didn't have a clue - he has an opinion"
So, apparently, what James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, says about the general Welfare clause is just an "opinion".
Interesting.
Completely wrong, but interesting just the same.
Progressives: when will they ever learn?
Secession is not a bad option, people. In all seriousness, it’s probably the best option. We are too large, the Constitution has been dead for a long time, and there is far too much power held by just a few people. Maybe it’s time to have an adult conversation about divesting power and leaving each other alone.
Early election totals:
Biden wins China with 92%
Dan Crenshaw clearly states on his radio ad that he wants unconstitutional federal involvement in the economy, healthcare, education, and more, which any run of the mill big government loving Democrat would agree with, but according to Dan, the blue team wants socialism. The guy is as clueless the clueless who idolize him. This is today’s Republican Party. #WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot
