TWAC is an action camp for folks who identify as female, trans, trans women, trans men, gender queer, gender variant, two-spirited and agender to build community, heal and strengthen our cultures of resistance.

Our broad focuses are on developing skills for climbing, blockading, flash-mobbin' and making art for protest as well as having safer and mind-expanding workshops and discussions about diversity, colonization, environmental justice, anti-oppression, intersectionality, transmisogyny, transphobia and direct action.
We also hold a variety of workshops on car mechanics, DIY underwear making, playing power chords on guitar, survivor support, plant identification, consent as queen, frontline solidarity, legal support for direct action/civil disobedience and much more... There's something for everyone!
Some of caucuses include POC, mixed race, parents, trans women, gender/sexuality-based violence survivors, dog parents, drinkers, non-drinkers and any more you'd like to create!
There are different origin stories and opinions about when the first trans and/or women's action camp happened.
♥ 5 TWAC's in Oregon every summer 2009-2013.
♥ In 2013, TWAC Florida and TWAC Maine had awesome camps too!
There have also been actions in Oregon and Texas using the TWAC name that were not connected to a TWAC camp. TWAC actions have focused on issues as varied as prison justice, indigenous solidarity, tar sands extraction, transmisogyny and logging among other issues.
