Bonjour mes chers amis, Canadiens et alliés de partout,

Je voulais vous donner des nouvelles : je me sens tellement mieux et j’ai reçu un bilan de santé positif de mon médecin et de Santé publique Ottawa.

Du fond du cœur, je tiens à remercier tous ceux et celles qui m’ont envoyé leurs meilleurs vœux. J’envoie tout mon amour et mon courage aux personnes qui souffrent en ce moment.

On vit des moments difficiles. Je sais que ce n’est pas facile d’être seul. On est des êtres qui ont besoin les uns des autres pour grandir, moi y compris! Mais toute cette distance physique nécessaire pour se protéger en ce moment devrait nous encourager à créer plus de proximité émotionnelle. On doit s’entraider et utiliser les réseaux sociaux pour garder une bonne communication entre nous et approfondir nos relations.

Je crois fermement que la science ET la compassion nous aideront à traverser cette crise. Pour y arriver, on doit écouter et suivre les protocoles de santé et rester à la maison pour le moment.

Je suis profondément touchée par les gestes d’entraide démontrés pour aider à combattre et limiter la propagation de la COVID-19. Les gens vont chercher des provisions pour leurs voisins, certaines entreprises redoublent leurs efforts pour produire les fournitures dont on a besoin et plusieurs artistes offrent des spectacles gratuits en ligne pour nous remonter le moral. C’est ce dont le monde a besoin en ce moment!

À tous mes merveilleux, courageux ami(e)s et concitoyens canadiens, je veux vous dire qu’on va passer à travers cette période difficile et on va le faire ensemble!

Hello my dear friends, Canadians, and allies everywhere.

I wanted to give you all an update: I am feeling so much better and have received the all clear from my physician and Ottawa Public Health.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me with their well wishes. And to everyone who is suffering right now, I send you all my love.

These are challenging times. I know it’s not easy to be alone – we are all social beings, me included! But just because we’re increasing the physical distance between us doesn’t mean we have to do the same emotionally. From social media to a simple phone call, there are so many ways for us to stay connected while we’re apart and actually deepen our relationships.

I strongly believe that science AND compassion will get us through this crisis. That means listening and following the health protocols and staying at home for the time being.

I feel so inspired to see so many people help and care for each other and help fight and control the spread of COVID-19. Neighbours are picking up groceries for each other, businesses are making the supplies we need, and artists are offering free performances to lift our spirits! This is what the world needs right now – and so many Canadians are doing that!

We’re going to get through this, my courageous friends and fellow Canadians, and we’re going to get through it together.
