#14 People of the Peace Palace ‘I practised my proposal in the mirror’ Sergio and Sheila Antunes visited the Peace Palace during their ‘trip down memory lane’, because 20 years ago Sergio proposed to Sheila in the Peace Palace gardens. ‘We were both enrolled in the summer course of the The Hague Academy of International Law. I brought the rings from Brazil, and proposed to her during a stroll through the Peace Palace gardens. I didn't go on one knee, because that isn't usual in Brazil. I was very nervous, and even practised my proposal in the mirror, but she didn’t expect anything!’ #peopleofthepeacepalace
