About PDX Queer Munch
This munch was for anyone who identifies as queer and their partners. By queer, we mean gay men, lesbians, fags, dykes, bisexuals, pansexuals, and polysexuals along with transfolk, those who are genderqueer, gender flexible, gender fluid, and gender fuckers. If the word queer feels like home for part of you or all of you, you are WELCOME. And when we say "partner" we mean everything from play partners to life partners.
We do ask that those who do not self-identify with the above description respect the safer space we are trying to create with this event and seek out a gathering better suited to their identities.
The munch occured monthly on the first Thursday. We met at the Radio Room (http://www.radioroompdx.com/) at 1101 NE Alberta, Portland OR 97211. The space is wheelchair accessible and the menu has lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options (and all clearly labeled!) There is plenty of free street parking and the 72 bus will drop you off within a block of The Radio Room.
The munch met in the main space just inside the front door (over against the wall, but slowly take over a lot of the space.) The staff knows why we're there, and they take VERY good care of us. The space is physically accessible, a bit on the loud side, and bathrooms are accessible but not gender neutral.
Please buy something to support the venue so they'll keep having us back. They do know that not everyone will be ordering food/eating full meals, but please do get a drink or a snack. Bottomless coffee is $2, and an order of fries is $3 so you don't have to spend much.
