Meet Luna. Five weeks ago she went overboard her owner's fishing boat about 2 miles off the coast of San Clemente Island. Fast forward to yesterday... Luna showed up near staff at San Clemente Island- a little thinner but non the worse for wear. She survived for five weeks in some very treacherous terrain. She was flown to NASNI this afternoon where she was reunited with a family friend until her owner returns later this week from working out of state. #NADONAVY
SHE IS STILL JUST A BABY. UGH!! SHE DESERVES BETTER!! CAN YOU IMAGINE THE EMOTIONAL TRAUMA SHE HAS ENDURED? THINK ABOUT IT! WHAT DO YOU THINK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE? AS A YOUNG CHILD? ALONE, HUNGRY, FRIGHTENED AND COLD HOW DID HER OWNER NOT SEE HER GO OVER? WHY WASN'T SHE WEARING A LIFE VEST? WAS THE REST OF THE CREW WEARING ONE?? I DON'T THINK SHE SHOULD HAVE WENT BACK TO HIM, HONESTLY THIS WAS SO NEGLIGENT. WOULD Y'ALL HAND HIM BACK A CHILD IN THE SAME SCENARIO?
