NSOPW, coordinated by the U.S. Department of Justice, is a cooperative effort between jurisdictions hosting public sex offender registries and the federal government and is offered at no cost to the public. The jurisdictions included on NSOPW are the 50 states, U.S. territories, the District of Columbia, and participating Indian tribes. NSOPW is the only national sex offender Website that provides real-time access to registered sex offender information directly from the jurisdictions’ sex offender registry.
