NBA Street Vol 2 on PS2 is still the best basketball game of all time.

The servers never worked any way what’s the difference?

Very disappointing, after investing time to build an awesome player, saving money, you shut down the server. I love this game and now you have taken it away. I think you should reconsider this decision.

They could just offer discount for those who bought the games. I mean I've had 2k14 and 2K15 for the full price (in my country 60 dollars). And I am still wishing for 2K to come with a discount for those who are regullars, like getting 50% down would be awesome, but too demanding for 2K :D

Planned obsolescence has become very brazen. They don’t care if it pisses us off, they want more money

It’s clear they caught onto the fact that some people don’t buy the new version just for the roster upgrade. And this is their way of circumventing that

Another thing to dislike about NBA 2K. Now I have to put in overtime on this 2K17, so I can get through a few years before it gets pushed to the side. I just don’t have that kind of time to play all day, everyday.

The formula for the best 2k game in any given year is [2K(x-2)], which means the game released 2 years ago is always the best and miles better than the latest.

2K should really do one final patch that kills off all of the sections that require the online servers - at least leave the game in somewhat working offline state once it's finally retired.

I can’t even play 2k18 cause every time I try to install it on my Xbox it stops at 4% and this is the second disk i tried it with Now. I talked with Xbox support and they said it has to be the disk after we tried everything to download it.

We should be able to carry over our VC from game to game. I'm sure people got a few thousands of currency left.

Compared to 2K17 and 18, this game is way better with both gameplay and servers. The movement is too awkward in the current game.

2k14 was my favorite. I logged more hours in that game than any other. It had just enough cut scenes to keep it interesting but not so many that I didn't care or got bored with it like 16 & 17.

The just had a 2x VC promotion the last few months. Why have that if they knew they would shut the servers down in December? Ultimate bait and switch scheme.

Apple does this too. 2k literally doesn't care about their players. Its either you pay for the new game or get your saves all messed up.

that is messed up taking a way one of your best games ever and not letting ones play it online or play your connected single player saves hopefully future games you all step it back up to where people want to play current games constantly and not so much the older versions

This company is the very first that i know which doesn’t allow you to use SP. Guys, it’s worthless to pay 60€ for a new game like 2k18 or even further (idk, maybe it’ll cost much more, but anyways) This game has made a huge step when newer versions like 2k10 launched and now it doesn’t make a real change. Like the developers updates the team line ups, main menu, career and that’s it. This kind of an update is new version of nba. Well, they got enough profit that they closed previous versions of the nba, so people would be forced to purchase and make normal profit for them. *clap clap* Well, i purchased nba 2k16 but seems like not just now they will steal everything from you, but also with every nba 🙂 Those who buys every nba, better to buy tickets to a real nba matches, much more worth 🙂 and a little offer for this trash company: STOP FCKING SELLING 0€ WORTH GAME FOR 50€ IN STEAM YOU THIEVES! 😡

I got NBA2k18 for Ps3 but when I select my career in main menu the game does not start from the neighborhood instead it starts from collage ball and then getting drafted to NBA team ..
How would I roam in the neighborhood is it not available in ps3 ?

So how is it that Call Of Duty Black Ops 1, a game that came out 7 years ago can still play online with great connection but a game that came out two years ago can’t? And also this game franchise is one of the most popular. Is funding too much?

Stop buying games that tie your single player progress up like this (especially if there is DLC involved)...simple.

Servers go down for all games eventually, but that should only affect multiplayer, and servers should only be shut down if multiplayer is dead anyway. It shouldn't destroy someone's single player progress and their paid DLC, that's just bad business, and bad design.

If people stop buying a product, the company folds quick as hell. It works 100% of the time--they'd rather give the customer what they want, instead of losing all of that $$$.

People never listen though.

R.I.P. still don't get why they discontinue their servers and their only 2 years old yet CoD games from 2008 still have running servers... 😭💀

What happens these days when servers go offline? Can you still play MyPlayer/MyCareer? Or is all the money and effort you put into it completely wasted? I haven't played it since VC was introduced. And back then, MyPlayer was done on a different type of offline currency.

I ask because NBA 2k has always been great at providing value for years. Especially since a career, legacy or franchise can go on for multiple seasons. I don't like the idea that after 2 years, I'm locked out of playing the game anymore. I'll seriously go back to playing older NBA 2k games rather than buy the newest one of that's the case.
