Military staged a coup in Myanmar
The military had seized the coup in Myanmar around 3 am on February 1, 2021 and it is believed to be that the government leaders including President U Win MYINT, State Counsellor Daw AUNG San Suu Kyi were detained by the military. Moreover, the people’s representatives who were elected in the 2020 General Election and who were gathering in Nay Pyi Taw to attend the parliamentary sessions today were also reportedly taken by the members of Myanmar armed forces in the early hours of 1 February to unknown places.
