Thank you for the overwhelming support to #Hongkongers4US! While we have been executing the #CitizenDiplomacy initiative through the surgical masks distribution to the US healthcare workers, we are simultaneously forging a foundation in globalizing the “Yellow Economic Circle”. Ultimately, we are dedicated to establish the “Yellow Economic Ecosystem” which encompasses the culture, identity and soft power of Hongkongers.
Over the past decades, Hong Kong and many western democracies have been excessively relying on Chinese supply chain signifying low-cost, labor-intensive yet inferior products, at the expense of the environment, livelihood of domestic workers and manufacturing jobs.
With the China-exported Coronavirus (COVID-19) wreaked havoc the global economy and took away thousands of lives, many national governments are proven futile in local PPE production but to rely on China. Perceiving such global economic asymmetry, #Hongkongers4US aspires to advocate a supply chain model based on democratic and liberal universal values –we are calling on the free world that the cost-based supply chain model which requires bowing to authoritarian regimes is obsolete and should not be our only option.
On the basis of “Yellow Economic Ecosystem”, #Hongkongers4US is proud to collaborate with Project R and Yellow Port to promote an innovative concept featuring – “Design in Hong Kong; Made in Taiwan; Sell to the World”. We are committed to find a way out for our local designers if the Chinese and Hong Kong economies are in its path towards collective demise. In this regard, we are also humbly seeking to facilitate our Taiwanese friends have been standing with Hong Kong vigorously amidst our quest for freedom. In fact, Taiwan’s economy has been facing the risk of marginalization due to the diplomatic isolation by the People’s Republic of China for many years.
Against the backdrop of changing political dynamics, Project R is rolling out its first product symbolizing the “Yellow Economic Ecosystem” that characterizes “Design in Hong Kong; Made in Taiwan; Sell to the World” – “Seed of Freedom” Tote Bag. Regardless you are currently in Hong Kong or overseas, please visit Yellow Port Facebook page to order your own “Seed of Freedom” Tote Bag. In fact, both Project R and Yellow Port are our close local partners throughout the #Hongkongers4US 1.5 Campaign in providing generous logistic arrangements for the Hong Kong-donated PPE items to the hospitals and community centers in the United States.
“Revolution of Our Times” is more than a sheer slogan in Hong Kong – it also symbolizes the global economic resistance in the dichotomy between the free world and totalitarianism.
Besides supporting our “International Front” as part of the #HongKongProtests, we also encourage you to like / follow the Facebook page of Project R and Yellow Port.

//The forced closure of Apple Daily struck a blow to the unique character of the city itself. The paper churned out stories on celebrity gossip and lurid scandals, as well as hard-hitting political news and analysis, always with a decidedly antigovernment slant and an irreverence antithetical to what the Communist Party would allow in the mainland. Even in the face of advertising boycotts, assaults on its journalists and firebomb attacks, the paper persevered and thrived, remaining one of the most widely read newspapers in the city, living proof of the freedoms Hong Kong enjoyed despite its return to Chinese rule in 1997.//
